International House is located in the center of Cairns, only a few minutes from shopping, restuarants and the city center. The school is air-conditioned and was newly renovated and equipped with modern audio-visual resources in 2005. Students have access to the "Self Access Centre", where you also can benefit from self-studies. Here you will find books and materials, with which you can deepen your English learning. Furthermore, the building has a balcony and wireless internet connections. In the lounge and on the large balcony, students can relax and chat with each other and enjoy a coffee. International House was established in 1989 and with an average of 200 - 250 students is a mid-sized school with vast experience and a friendly atmosphere.

Host Family
With these accommodations, you live with a host family in a single or double room (only when booked together) with half-board during the week and full-board on the weekends. Many host families can be reached by bicycle, the others with the bus.

Campus Lodge
If you would like more independence than living with a host family, International House also offers accommodations on campus.
The Campus Lodge of the university is approximately 15 km north of the school, but is, therefore, near the beach (Trinity Beach). A daily transfer service three times a day, as well as electricity is included in the price. The campus has a swimming pool, a café, a bar and a computer room with free internet access. Students booking these accommodations must be at least 18 years old. Please ask us for prices.

Cairns is the absolute sport, free-time, excursion paradise. The school's free-time club offers a variety of activities in and around Cairns. Surely you will find something that you enjoy. The free-time program includes some of the following: golf, diving, riding, grill evenings, excursions to the outback, pool parties, bungy jumping, visits to a crocodile farm, excursions to the rain forest...
Of course, there are also many other activities, that you can arrange by yourself, with other students or with your host family.
