Canterbury Language Training exclusively offers language courses for business professionals and managers and is affiliated with the best langugage schools in England. With its individual training system, limited number of students, maximum of 24, highly qualified teaching staff and a very professional and personal atmosphere, the school has achieved a high success rate and for many years has been recognized internationally for its training programs. The school is located in the center of Canterbury in a magnificient, beautifully maintained historic building with 12 bright, comfortable classrooms, a lounge with coffee and tea, a well equipped study area and a lovely garden. Internet connections throughout the building are free on the school's computers or are available via a laptop and wireless LAN.

Executive Host Families
The high quality standards of the course, can also be found in the accommodations. We carefully select all host families to ensure they offer high living standards, which includes a private bathroom as a rule. During the week, breakfast and dinner are included, as well as full board on the weekends. The price includes a daily taxi transfer to and from the host family's home and the school.

Arrival
Canterbury is easy to reach from every direction. Eurostar, with a station in Ashford only 25 km away, conveniently connects Canterbury to the European mainland. Also, the London Airports City, Gatwick and Heathrow are easy to reach by bus or train. Information can be found under www.nationalexpress.co.uk (bus routes) and www.railtrack.co.uk (train connections ). By car you can reach Canterbury via ferries; Dover, for example, is only 30 mins. away.

Canterbury is a charming small town with approximately 38'000 inhabitants and lies in the county of Kent, the "Garden of England". With its vast historical importance, its cultural interests, as well as its buildings from Roman times, the imposing and world famous catherdral, which has the same significance for the Anglican Church as St. Peter's Cathedral has for the Roman Catholic Church Canterbury offers a multitude of sites to visitors. However, its most famous event occurred in 1170 -- the death of Thomas Becket. Due to this event, Canterbury became the place for pilgrimages and inspired people, for example, Geoffrey Chaucer, who wrote the Canterbury Tales in 1387. The beautiful landscape, in the surrounding region offers many possibilities for sporting as well as relaxing activities. The school would be happy to advise students of places to see, and arranges evening programs or excursions in the area three times a week. These activities include visits to the theater, city tours and various sports programs. Students who are interested in playing golf, will find a lovely golf course in the area. The school trips with the three evening programs per week can be reserved in advance by paying 42.00 GBP (theater tickets are excluded).
