Founded in 1993 we run courses accredited by Duke, UNC and other universities; and we are the only private language school in Costa Rica recognized by the United Nation’s Global Compact. Intercultura offers a series of 18 courses designed by curriculum specialists. Our professors are university trained and credentialed to teach Spanish as a second language. We give all teachers further instruction on teaching in the context of total cultural immersion.
Every classroom has state-of-the-art teaching equipment (electronic smart-boards). Our Spanish courses are designed to fully immerse students in real social interactions. Academic credit points are available through prestigious international institutions. Students participate in free cultural and extra-curricular activities (historic city tour, latin dance, cooking, film, arts, excursions and more), and have the option to volunteer if they choose.
