Official Description (Provided by language school)
The school is located in a beautiful historical area of Santiago, near many of the top tourist attractions such us Cerro San Cristobal and Pablo Neruda's house "La Chascona,". The artistic neighborhood of Lastarria is also a comfortable walk away, with lots of great restaurants, museums, and shops. About a 20 minute walk from the school, you'd find La Vega and Mercado Central, where you can get all the fresh fruit and vegetables you need as well as the best seafood in the city.
The school it is a spacious building with offices, 9 classrooms, common areas, and a kitchen. We offer weekly cultural, educational, and social activities so that our students get the most out of their time in Santiago! This is also a chance for students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the "real world," out in restaurants, museums, clubs, etc. Many of our activities, like the welcome lunch and city tour, are free, and many other activities are low cost, such as bike tours, or the entrance to museums and cultural centers. Our activities coordinator organizes the events each week and leads groups of students on tours and excursions. Students can also ask to do specific activities, and the coordinator will either incorporate the activity into that week's events or help the student book/reserve that activity. All of our teachers are native speakers who have graduated from the top schools in Chile with degrees in education, lingustics, and related fields. Additionally, they are specifically trained to teach Spanish to foreigners and have years of teaching experience.
